That means the future of the School depends on spiritually healthy adults who love Jesus, love young people, and want to serve the next generation.

the deepest need
We are looking for mentors first.
Practical help matters, but our deepest need is for mature Christians who can be present in the room, build trust with students, help guide discussion, pray faithfully, and model what it looks like to follow Jesus over time.

mentor-first volunteering
Mentors who will know students personally.
We are looking for leaders and mentors who can help students feel known, cared for, and spiritually supported.
Over time, our hope is that every student would have access to a trusted mentor who is known, vouched for by their local church, and meaningfully connected to the life of the School.
The first cohort received much of its personal care directly from Aaron. The next stage is building a trusted community of mentors so that care can grow without becoming thin.

who we are looking for
You do not need to be impressive.
Who we are looking for
Mature Christians, often in their late 20s and beyond, who are rooted in a local church and recommended by their pastor.
Pastors, ministry leaders, parents, older adults, and senior saints are all welcome to start a conversation.
You do need to be spiritually healthy, faithful, humble, patient, and willing to care about young adults over time.
Every volunteer needs a local church
Because this work involves spiritual care, every volunteer must be connected to a local church.
Before someone serves with the School, we need their local church to vouch for them as a spiritually healthy person and a good fit to serve young adults.
That keeps the work healthy, grounded, and connected to the wider body of Christ.

ways mentors may serve
Depending on gifting and need.
- Being present during teaching nights
- Helping guide discussion
- Meeting with students outside regular gatherings
- Leading small groups outside of Sunday nights
- Praying for students
- Hospitality
- Food
- Setup and teardown
- Admin support
- Church communication
- Occasional teaching, for those with a recognized teaching gift
RAISING UP YOUNG LEADERS
A place to begin.
We want young leaders to have real opportunities to open Scripture, share their faith, and learn how to guide a thoughtful discussion, with support from people who have gone before them.
During Cohort 01, Jack Parr and Trayden Daniels both stepped into teaching opportunities. Jack went on to serve as a youth minister at Good Fight Church, while Trayden served as Aaron’s ministry assistant. We want the School to remain a place where emerging leaders are trusted, guided, and given somewhere to begin.
INVITING SEASONED TEACHERS
Come strengthen the room.
If you are a seasoned pastor or teacher, rooted in a local church and looking for a place to serve, we would be glad to meet you. We welcome trusted guest teachers who can open Scripture, share what God has taught them, and bless our students for an evening.
For teachers in the Oklahoma City and Yukon area, the first step is a simple conversation with Aaron.
