Maybe you grew up in church, but you are not sure what comes next. Maybe you love Jesus, but you feel underfed. Maybe you have real questions and you are tired of pretending they are smaller than they are.
GoodLion exists for young adults who want deeper roots in Scripture, real Christian community, and a life with Jesus that holds together beyond Sunday.
Cohort 02 begins in early 2027, but you do not have to catch us on opening night. The cohort remains open as the journey continues.

A place to keep growing
A lot changes after youth group, high school, college, or early adulthood.
The structures that carried your faith growing up: youth group, a campus ministry, a small group… may not be there anymore. GoodLion gives you a place to keep learning, asking, practicing, and growing with other young adults who are also trying to follow Jesus.

A room for honest questions
You do not need to have everything figured out before you come.
Questions about Scripture, doubt, prayer, suffering, sexuality, church hurt, calling, deconstruction, and the credibility of faith in a post-Christian world are welcome here.

Deep teaching that stays connected to real life
The teaching combines expository Bible study, biblical theology, visual explanation, trusted resources like BibleProject, and discussion throughout the night.
The goal is not to make you sound impressive. The goal is to help you know Jesus, understand the biblical story, and practice the way of Jesus in ordinary life.

Real discussion
You will not sit silently while someone talks at you for three hours.
Students are involved throughout the night. You can ask questions, wrestle with an idea, follow a thread, and talk about how the teaching lands in your actual life.

Real community
GoodLion is intentionally personal. We only grow as far as we can continue to know, mentor, and care for students well. The goal is not to pack a room. The goal is to help students become more like Jesus.
The conversation also continues during the week through a group chat for questions, prayer, encouragement, friendship, and follow-up discussion.

What this is, and what it isn’t.
This is a free discipleship school for young adults, built around Scripture, theological depth, honest conversation, spiritual formation, and community. GoodLion was built by pastors and leaders who genuinely love mentoring young adults and walking with them as they grow. We believe young adults are not merely the future of the Church. They are part of its present. Their questions matter, their formation matters, and they deserve leaders willing to invest in them now.

the practical stuff
Who should join?
School of Discipleship is primarily for young adults ages 18–25 who want a deeper life with Jesus.
This may be for you if:
- you have aged out of youth group but still want real discipleship
- you want to understand Scripture more deeply
- you have honest questions and need a place to wrestle with them
- you want Christian community that is more than hanging out
- you want to follow Jesus in ordinary life, not just believe correct ideas about Him
- you want to be formed for faithfulness in your local church
Are you 16–17? You may still be considered if a parent or pastor recommends you and you are ready for a deeper young adult environment. For a minor to participate, their church also needs to send an adult leader who participates in the group and takes responsibility for that student. Learn more.
Are you 26 or older? We would still love to hear from you. Some adults over 25 may participate as learners case by case, and many are a great fit for mentoring, volunteering, discussion leadership, or helping strengthen the next cohort. See how different ages fit.
Brand-new Christians, mature young believers, and honest skeptics have all found the room meaningful. The common thread is hunger: a desire to learn, grow, ask, listen, and follow Jesus more deeply. Students from different churches, traditions, and denominations are welcome.
- Can I join after Cohort 02 has started?Yes. You can join while the journey is underway.We want a committed core group, but Cohort 02 remains open. If you discover the School after launch, you have not missed your chance. Take a look at the Cohort Schedule and reach out.
- What does it cost?Nothing. Students are not charged tuition.GoodLion’s founders and leadership team are pastors and ministry leaders who care deeply about helping young adults thrive in Jesus. The School is sustained through donors, ministry partners, and bivocational work outside the School. We do that because we believe young adults are worth investing in, and we want deep discipleship to remain free for students.
- How long is the pathway?The full formation pathway typically takes around three years.The Cohort Schedule can shift as guest teachers, special gatherings, breaks, and real life shape the journey.
- How much commitment?Formation works best with consistency.But when life happens, our posture is generous.
