FOR STUDENTS

For Young Adultswho want a deeper life with Jesus

Maybe you grew up in church, but you are not sure what comes next. Maybe you love Jesus, but you feel underfed. Maybe you have real questions and you are tired of pretending they are smaller than they are.

GoodLion exists for young adults who want deeper roots in Scripture, real Christian community, and a faith they can actually live.

what you might be looking for

You are probably looking for one of these.

  1. 01

    A place to keep growing

A lot changes after youth group, high school, college, or early adulthood.

The structures that carried your faith growing up: youth group, a campus ministry, a small group… may not be there anymore. GoodLion gives you a place to keep learning, asking, practicing, and growing with other young adults who are also trying to follow Jesus.

  2. 02

    A room for honest questions

You do not need to have everything figured out before you come.

Questions about Scripture, doubt, prayer, suffering, sexuality, church hurt, calling, deconstruction, and the credibility of faith in a post-Christian world are welcome here.

  3. 03

Deep teaching that stays connected to real life

The teaching combines expository Bible study, biblical theology, visual explanation, trusted resources like BibleProject, and discussion throughout the night.

The goal is not to make you sound impressive. The goal is to help you know Jesus, understand the biblical story, and practice the way of Jesus in ordinary life.

  4. 04

    Real discussion

You will not sit silently while someone talks at you for three hours.

Students are involved throughout the night. You can ask questions, wrestle with an idea, follow a thread, and talk about how the teaching lands in your actual life.

  5. 05

    Real community

GoodLion is intentionally personal. We only grow as far as we can continue to know, mentor, and care for students well. The goal is not to pack a room. The goal is to help students become more like Jesus.

The conversation also continues during the week through a group chat for questions, prayer, encouragement, friendship, and follow-up discussion.

plain terms

What this is, and what it isn’t.

This is a free discipleship school for young adults, built around Scripture, theological depth, honest conversation, spiritual formation, and community.

We want to help you become

  • Closer to Jesus
  • More rooted in Scripture
  • More aware of where your life fits inside the biblical story
  • More grounded in God’s heart and love for the world
  • More faithful in your local church
  • More able to ask honest questions without losing your way
  • More prepared to live as a citizen of God’s Kingdom here and now

What this is not

  • A youth group
  • An academic track for a degree
  • A pipeline to a ministry career
  • Entertainment
  • A debate club
  • A place where we are trying to get free labor out of you

GoodLion is student-first. We are here to serve you, help you grow, and make room for Jesus to form your life.

in their words

What they found at the table.

I used to pray because I felt I had left God's presence. Now I pray because I don't ever want to leave it. Thanks, Aaron.

Stepping into that space feels like stepping out of the mainstream of busy, everyday life to recharge in a community of people pursuing Jesus. What a gift!

This has had SUCH an impact on my group of friends. It feels like family. It's a safe environment, and it's comforting to see all of us striving toward the same goal.

the practical stuff

Who should join?

The School is primarily for young adults, roughly 18–29. We also welcome mature students ages 16–17 when they are vouched for by a parent or pastor. If you want to ask whether the School would be a good fit for a younger student, contact us.

Brand-new Christians, mature believers, ministry leaders, and honest skeptics have all found the room meaningful. The common thread is hunger: a desire to learn, grow, ask, listen, and follow Jesus more deeply. Students from different churches, traditions, and denominations are welcome.

  • What does it cost?Nothing. The School is free because donors and partners believe young adults deserve real discipleship without a price tag.
  • How much commitment? You will get the most out of GoodLion if you show up consistently — but our posture is generous. Come when you can.
